I am using a 1600rpm stall from RCD (I read is partly based on a Precision Industries unit), works very well. I do not have a very modified truck, if it matters. A pal of mine used a Hughes unit in a 4L80E years ago, worked well for him.

Any of you guys run back to back on the strip with a stock converter than an aftermarket unit to compare the times?

Ive never ran a Hughes so I cant speak about those.

I did run several suncoast and one DPC

The DPC was hands down the best and most reliable.
I was at 1k on fuel and it held up fine.
