what is a 2006 200k mile complete engine and trans worth?

Looking at buying a totaled 2006 with 200k miles. What do you all think the complete engine and trans is worth? Ran fine, has egr delete and no popped head gaskets. Here is what i was thinking:

Complete engine: $2500
Complete trans with TC $800

what do you all think?

is the truck drive able? can you check deltas etc? get a scan tool on it?

well far enough back to put a dent in the oil pan enough for oil to leak out

$800 is in th ball park for the tranny I think. Seen em for a little less than that for 200k but not far off. Of course I picked up one with about 15k on it for 750 but I think that was a pretty good deal. The engine I'm not sure about.

if the axle got pushed that far are you sure the engine is ok? unless it was a really low hit and just the axle got rolled under and the frame is ok, I would look it closer to make sure there isn't any other damage...block etc.

Truck was hit head on my a car so it was hit low..only about the first 4" of the oil pan got dented..you can put oil in it and run it but it leaks out in a hurry.

id make the offer of 2800 cash for the whole motor and tranny and see if the guy would take it

if not the motor at 2500 and the trans and TC at 800 is still a decent buy
