What Oil Do You Run?

6.0's shear oil very quickly.. All I ever got out of any oil in either of my 6.0's was about 5 thousand miles, at that point is didn't idle as well and ran poorly.. I used about every different brand of 5W40, HD10W30 and 15W40 and received about the same results.. It seemed that Mobil 1 5W40 Turbo Diesel oil worked the best in both my trucks.. :shrug:

It took about 500 miles after any oil change for them run good again.. I have no idea why that would happen but it is what it is..

I use Mobil 1 5w40 Turbo diesel oil. Its Pretty much all I can get in Germany. That and royal purple.

scheaffers 9000 forever

my uncle goes 12,000-20,000 intervals. he treats his 6.0 poorly. I watched a built dmax motor idle for 20 minutes with no oil pump. they tore the motor down expecting to spend money. he is one of the only other racers ive met that knows about it or uses it. it does have moly in it though so you gotta use crap oil for break in.

I have ran Mobil Delvac 5W40 full in both my 6.0L's, a 6.4, and currently in my 6.7L powerstroke. Zero issues and local Ford dealership gives me a good discount.

Shaeffer Supreme 9000 synthetic, My truck had Rotella from the PO ever since he got it, I run Rotella in my Bobcat, but switched my F250 to the Supreme 9000 and I run it 10,000 miles between changes. E99 F250 7.3 Powerstroke

This is what I run also. No issues and I change every 6 to 7k miles just to be safe.
