Wheel and offset question

After starting my last thread I think I've decided on Cooper ST maxx in a 35x12.50x20. Now I just want to make sure that they won't rub. I've been looking at a 20x9 wheel with a +18 offset. Wanted to make sure that they won't rub the radius arm.

Anyone run a similar setup? I know a lot of people say they don't run with factory rims. But not sure how much a 20x9 +18 will change it.

Thats probably going to hit the radius arm at full lock. Need to look more at 20x9 +0

Don't people say they run 35x12.50's on factory wheels? They are 20x8 +40mm so shouldn't a 20x9 +18 have about the same backspace and stick out another 1" then factory?

Yeah people say alot of things though. One guys idea of fitting and the next guys can be very different. Stock wheels with 35s I'm pretty positive will rub on radius arms too at full lock.

they do rub on the radius arms. I have done it on multiple trucks.

a 35/12.5 on a 20x9, 0 offset with a 2.5" level requires only the fender liners to be pulled back.

So if I went with a 285/65r20 on this wheel it shouldn't rub correct? That's 1" narrower then a 12.50

I believe the factory wheel has a 6" back spacing and the 20x9+18 has 5.7" backspace. So that should pull the tire further from the radius arm correct?

The only issue would be the 1/2 of add tire height? Or is it cause the bulge of a 12.50 would be much wider?

Its the bulge. Yes the 295 is a better tire option for you.
