Any one run 295/60r20s? Thinking about running them on my 07 with my 20x10 -24 hostages on a 2.5" leveling kit

Anyone have any experience with wheel tire combo on a 2wd 08 with the rear Dropped level with the front? Thinking prolly an 18" wheel to try to get a little more sidewall simply to help with traction. Would love to run an 18x12 with a nitto 420s. But I have no idea what offset or tire size I could run. I also wouldn't mind havin a lower sidewall on the front for clearance issues. Pics of said setup maybe? Thanks

:whs: anything less then 20" on these trucks look too small Imo. Honestly 22s are the perfect wheel size imo

Looks good the difference in 295/60 and the 295/65 is the 60 is about 34.5" tall and 12.25 wide... The 65 is 35.5 tall and 11 wide beings I'm running an 07 with -24 offset I need to run a shorter tire and I think the 295/60s will work on my 10 wide wheel

That's personal preference but I would tend to agree except for the fact that on a lowered 2wd a 20 or 22 would leave you with such low side wall that you'd b severely disadvantaged for traction. The higher the sidewall the more flex you get which in my opinion would translate to better traction. As far as looks, I'm going more for the stance than the wheel size. I'm looking for help on wheel specs and tire size to make that combo work. On edit, I do know that you've been there done that as far as a 2wd truck. And I respect your opinion.

I ran that tire size in Terra Grappler's on factory 20's (8" wide). They will work on a 10" wide wheel, but they're made for a 8.5" wide wheel.

20x10 with 305/50 Nittos will give you a mean stance - I ran 22s wih 420s, never even needed to air them down, the tires hook great.

I just know the sidewalls are pretty weak. and you'll have to stretch that tire to fit a 12 wide wheel I'd assume. but it would work. don't know how it would handle

Eric@HolderdownPerformance

Main reason is there is no 420 offered in the correct size for a 18x12...let alone finding a 18x12 wheel LOL

But I sorta like th stretched look and this truck is lighter than most so it would be a little less unsafe:thumbsup:. And there are actually a few 18x12 out there.

You will have to go with a Toyo proxes to get a tire size that will even think about going on a 18x12 wheel.

A good buddy of ours here at the shop runs proxes on a 18x12 with no issues. They hook good at the track, he daily drives it, and he has even hooked to the sled with them. I have seen 420s on 20x12s stretched as well and they look damn good to me, that would be my choice as I favor the 420 more than the proxes.
