Where's everyone getting their heads at?

Just got word from the machine shop that both of mine are cracked, so where is everyone getting theirs from with cheapest or no core price for a set of good heads or heads with hardened seats In them already

The guy told me no that he tried calling his vendors to find just a casting but nobody has anything. I'm not even exactly sure where they cracked at he called me a little bit ago and I'm at work and don't get good reception In the shop so my phone cut off but ill have to call them back.But when I dropped them off I asked for hardened valve seats he tried to explain to me how I didn't need them they all crack outside the seats

If you dont get a big discount at a dealership close to you message sunriseford, as stated above. Their prices are hard to beat

Id like to thank him for giving me such good detailed information.Then I decided to call ford and since I get a discount I couldnt beat their price even with the core charge so I just ordered up a set from them and am going to have the machine shop put the seats in them. Anybody have problems with the ford ones since you say even then I should have them checked?

I went with a junk yard set, $350 find. Check them out, one was cracked returned it and exchanged it for free.

I got my extra set of heads from a salvage yard also for around 600 for the set delivered. Ill be shipping them off to Elite whenever I get around to ordering the next round of parts.

I would love to if I were closer but shipping would kill me to just send mine out to do that. so im just having a machine shop an hour away do them that does all the work for the Diesel shop near me. I couldnt beat 775 a peice for the heads straight from ford even with core and machine work ill still be ahead right now

they dont have hardened seats when purchased from ford.

Yes they don't have hardened seats from Ford. Also have them checked again for cracks as i went thru 4 sets of heads from Ford until i got 2 good ones that weren't cracked from the dealer. Just a heads up.

I don't think 125-150 on shipping would "kill" the deal if you can get a good set, we don't have any good 6.4 heads but sure the hell have a good amount of good 6.0 heads

Thanks guys got my heads in and took them to the machine shop to get them looked over,and sharp points smoothed out to avoid cracking after reading the other thread and talking to kyle
