Who sells a 5r110w Pan with a lowered filter??

see here is my confusion
how can the pan be deeper but have the filter deeper and in the same OEM location ?

There are 2 filter styles for the 5r110, I run the larger one with the mht pan. It is quite a bit thicker but I never measured the difference.

yes that's why my first post ask for the 08 up pan

The different ( internal ) `filters require a different pan also most folks call the newer filter the 5r110W (but not all folks)
but being you have 08's unless you have the divorced filter can ( not confused with the remote 07 style ) then you have no choice but to run the slightly larger element filter

I am not interested in the 07- pan /filter
and MagHytec confirmed their 08 5r110wpan keeps the OEM filter at the OEM location

My trans had the external filter and I converted it to the later style. If you're going to run an aftermarket pan you might as well convert it to the later style.
