I maybe interested in buying your stock pistons, if you're. Interested in selling them??

I'm gonna hold on to them for now, I just picked up a beautiful 08 with at least a broke piston/ bent rod. I have all new rods, bearings, gaskets also but want to wait to see what I need for the other one.

Maybe I'm not seeing what he's. Referring. To?

I think its the angle on the pic, one side of his intake valve seat area (not sure of technical term)is just cut straight, Its like the seat is just pressed in a straight hole with out any bevel leading to the valve face.

The exhaust valve on the right is the same also.

Well at least I got luck on the short block, I got a new factory bore block :bowfast::bowfast::bowfast:. Thank God!
I didnt know they came with oil coolers installed either.
I going to the other Ford place in the morning to get back the other head that measured 3.736 so I will have a matching set.
I will be putting my coated IH pistons and cam in also. Maybe she will be running in a few weeks FINALLY!

Ford reman shortblocks have spray welded bores so they can use original size pistons on every block.

If you are referring to the area around the intake valves, where they look offset?

Thats suppose to be there. It's. Purpose is to induce swirl in the combustion chamber.

It's only that one head that I have saw like that. The other head I got was centered. It's literally square edged on one side of the valve and chamfered on the other to give the appearance that the valve is off center.

the bottom picture, the heads missed the machining around the intake valves. that would go back to the quality control statement i made.

it does however look like they un shrouded the valves,by chaffering the valve pockets.

however bolth heads won't swirl the incoming air charge the same. i would want a matched set of either or.
