I am considering running some wide SRW wheels on my DRW to get the super single look without the cost of American Forces or half size wheels...wondering what wheel specs I should look for. I'd like the wheels to not stick out from the fenders too much. I'd consider most sizes 22" and below...preferably 20s

I believe there is a few company's that will turn 22.5's on a lathe and make them 22's but then you will still need wheel adaptors to run 10 lug.
Why not run rig tires with 22.5's things would wear like iron. Lol

If I didn't live way out in the middle of nowhere...like mostly crappy dirt roads, sand and open desert I would but I would be afraid I would get stuck daily with a set of semi tires. I was also considering a wide old wheel like a Mickey Thompson 16x10 or 16x12 it doesn't have to be a big bling bling size

what about running like a 20x14 on the 44" bogger or the 42" pitbul rocker? or the 22x14 on a 40" toyo.....those would be alright I'd suppose

You got where my mind is going. That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking....just wondering what offset/backspacing since I'm no good with that stuff I thought someone here might know. Wish they made a radial bogger those tires make me drool....I drive fairly short distances to work and don't drive a ton and thought about a bias ply tire but wasn't sure with the weight of a dually...figured it may be beneficial to run a radial Irok or SSR or the like

you would be safe running the pitbulls over the boggers. I'm not too sure on the BS you'd need either but most definitel the 20x14 is the way to go on the 42" pitbull. you'll love that look.

Yeah...just wondering if there are any 20x12 or 20x14s or even a smaller diameter wheel that would keep the tire somewhat within the fenders...just not good with offset or any of that...how's it work?

any options other than the fuel hostage? I like them but heard bad about pitting issues with the chrome...have to look into the total with tires...got me thinking now

Without the dually spacer would I be able to run regular super duty SRW wheels? Cause I'm pretty sure only the duallies have 8x200 lug pattern as far as I know...I think everything else 05+ is 8x170

Without the adapters on the front axle, I believe you can run normal 8x170 wheels on the front.

However, you don't have that luxury on the rear axle. You will have to swap your axle for pre 05 axle dually axle, or swap to a srw axle which may not look good with a dually bed. Or I guess you could run some custom wheels like Scotty did (STROKIN N STYLE) on his f450.

Shoot!! I knew there was a catch....hmmm I suppose I could get a set custom made....just I think it is absurd to pay over $4k for JUST off the shelf wheels like the American Forces. Anyway I won't rant on. Thanks for the info sir.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think that I am. It might be cheaper to find a dually axle from an older truck, unless there is a way to swap 8x170 hubs onto your dually axle. Maybe there are adapters available, but that doesn't sound cheap either.

These guys make custom rims if you want to look into that option, it looks like they also sell Pitbull tires.

Yeah I've talked to the guy from Stazworks...he's a great guy just deciding if I should go that route or just have him build me the custom set of dually 20x8.5s that we talked about a while ago

he doesn't need any adapters to swap 8x170 hubs onto his truck, his are 8x170 they made the 8x200 swap in 05+ trucks. pre 05's are ALL 8x170 dually or not.

His signature says that his dually is an 08.
