Been a couple of months did you pull the trigger on any thing yet? I am working on a few different ideas for wheels on my OBS right now. This being one of them. I seen a 3rd gen dodge running some thing exactly like this, but it was just a wide, prolly 33" mud tire.

Nothing yet. John at Stazworks is really slammed right now...and i'm not going to be ready to pull the trigger that soon. He needs some measurements to get the correct offset and what not I'm looking for. So it is nice cause it gives me time to find or take those measurements and get him all the info needed

35s or 37s...my truck is a 2008 which means 8x200 bolt pattern...know any wheel manufacturers who make a SRW wheel 8x200?

Oh, im sure somebody makes one. Its probably cheaper to.get a different axle however. Can you change the b.p. on your rear axle. That'd be.my first step. Did you email xd or mht? They are the only ones, top of me head, that make 14 wide wheels. The xd diesel comes in 14 wide. The hostage.despite heavy implementation on this site, I have yet to see on a truck in person. I recall you saying you were worried about chrome pitting? Dont even consider them if thats the case. Machined or painted. If your truck is silver, black, white, red, or even blue Id get the machined/black hostage. 20x14 if you get 35s. If you go.with a 22 id run a 37" tire.

That's exactly what i was thinking, you would be money ahead to find a 500 dollar drw Ford axle with 8x170 hubs. or look into swapping the hubs and axleshafts into your housing, if possible.

Or if you have to run spacers just go with a 8x200 to 8x170. If you run 20s on the back, what r u going to do about the front? And I'd like to slap the scitout of ford for leaving 8x6.5. GM and Dodge still run it be we have to be dip scits and be different.

Haven't talked to any of the real big companies yet. I emailed one of the big companies that makes custom wheels but the name is slipping my mind as they haven't emailed back. There is a guy on compD that had a set of super wide wheels for his Cummins made by them just can't find that link anymore. The truck is Gold so I may end up just sucking it up and having to clean the sh*t out of the chrome. I will definitely talk to XD and MHT today though.

That would be pretty badass....hmmmm

I have definitely thought about spacers/adapters....now to figure out wheel backspacing and offset...I'm horrible with that so if anyone can help. I'd imagine it would be a pretty extreme offset or backspacing just don't know a lot about that subject myself. For the front I'd like to find a set of wheels that I could stagger...Like 20x12 or 20x14 out back and a narrower 20x10 or so in the front unless I can find a wheel that has the right bs/offset and I will just run all 4

14 wide for sure to fill that fender up, look at Mickey Thompson tires for some wide meats.

Hell yeah buddy!!

I think 14" out back with 12" out front would look pretty mean.

10" wide up front might look good too.

I was just thinking that 14" front and rear would look a little goofy because one would be sticking way past the fender and the rear wouldn't be.

But, you may want to stick with the same size tire front and rear, and that may not be possible with different width wheels.

That's true...maybe I'll run a 12 up front and 14 in the rear. All I know is that sounds like it would be one sexy beast either way. Now to start tire shopping... :D

Lemme let ya in on a little something. Im not.assuming you do or dont know this already. I JUST bought a set of 20x12 fuels and they are -44offset. All 20x12s will be in fact. On a 99-04(1st gen) superduty they barely stick out. I figured they'd be too much. On a newer 05+ the axles are 2" wider. If you put a 12 wide on those its sticking halfway out.of the wheelwell. No joke!

If you want a slight protrusion on the front, 10 wide. 14(-76mm offset) on the rear. I half wish I would.have gotten 14 wides but it would.have screwed me for running a 35 as there arent any tires wide enough. More neg offset would.have helped me. I almost need inch spacers but opted for smaller rubber overall so im.gonna.run.what I.got.

Before I get ahead of.myself, you want to run a normal rim on the front, right? As in not.a.dually wheel?

That is correct Ty. Wanting to run a normal wheel up front. Just looking to do something different with my truck and think this is a good opportunity. Ideally I'd like to run a pretty big tire although this is all going to be a do it as I have money to game. I'm thinking a 40 or a little bigger...and trying to figure out what kind of lift I'd want to run since I'm not a 10" lift on 37's kinda guy...no offense if anyone is...I'm not
