Would you swap from a 6.4 again?

I had oil temp at 250 and clt at 22x and the fan clutch didn't even lock up. I had to back out of it pulling a light race car trailer up the grapevine. I wasn't gonna let both temps bury and melt the thing down. Fan clutch tested good... Never got the signal to turn on. Curious what the big 5ers do pulling real mtns.

Yall scaring me now, I do a lot of towing through the mtns with my 5th wheel. Are the transmissions in the 15 the same as 14? My tech at Ford was telling me how impressive the trannys are in the 14's, said the TC weighed twice as much as in the 6.4.

Deletes and nitrous...and it being a 2015 is what made you lose your transmission, because Ford used fewer clutch packs in that production year. Seems legit.

"Oh yea lets make our second generation have 865ft pounds of torque and as an added bonus pull out some clutch packs from the tranny, I'm sure it will hold up to the power." Oh yea Ford designers are genius. Just saying.

Maybe it was stronger in some weird way, none of us will ever know.

Medicine Hat... Again
going to find out soon enough. I will say that my 10 is way stronger on a tow tune then a stock 15. But the 15 feels much more refind. Like going from a ford escort to a 3 series bmw. I'm sure the 15 is just as capable or I've been driving modded for too long haha

I've got a 6.4 reg cab zf6 and just picked up a 2011 CCSB 6.7 .. My 6.4 is deleted with mini maxx and gearhead tunes and it's a TON more fun to drive than my 6.7 but as far as comfort goes the 6.7 takes the cake by far. I'm sure once I tune and delete the 6.7 it will be a whole different animal but damn, my 6.4 HAULS ASS..

It's an 11 model, Don't get your hopes too high, they will end up crushed. ;) Now that's speaking from a 13 model, from what these other fellas are saying, 15s are pretty impressive.

Picking up a 15 Platinum tomorrow, so we'll see after I can get it tuned and deleted.

This is what in on the fence about. Love having the raw power of my 6.4, but can't get over how nice the new interiors are.
