I'm looking for a Ford-Cummins (Fummins) or Chevy-Cummins conversion. F250 or F350. It needs to be done right and turn-key, no project trucks or headaches please.

Location is Northern CA, but will travel for a solid example.

It must pass pre-purchase inspection and evaluation by a competent diesel shop.

Prefer, but not limited to:

* 3/4 or 1 ton chassis
* extended or crew cab
* '97 or older
* Manual Transmission
* 4wd
* NO RUST

Looking for an adult vehicle. No crazy lift kits or monster trucks with 1000 HP.

If you have something that you want to sell send me a message.

I did a google search, and this is one of the forums that had FUMMINS trucks for sale in the past. Hence the reason for the WTB thread...

there is an OBS fummins in the classifieds...

Yeah I saw it. Remember, I'm looking for an adult vehicle. No crazy lift kits or monster trucks with 1000 HP.

Interesting. That thing looks pretty sweet. I dug around and found that truck for sale for over 2 years in different listings. I wonder what the deal is with it? Does the guy want to much money or does it have issues?

It probably has issues, I mean why not just buy a 7.3? Anytime you swap motors drive trains etc your going to have issues. Why not just get a powerstroke or a dodge if you want a cummins?

Many folks have successful conversions. Not all Fummins or Chevy-cummins trucks have issues, just most of the trucks for sale do!

I had a 7.3 once. It was a '96 F250. It was good truck but I'm looking for something different. The older ford chassis w/ a cummins sounds like the way to go. The best of both worlds. The Chevy-cummins would be my second choice.

Dodge cars and trucks have a substandard chassis. Mopar has always been known for great engines but the vehicle it comes mounted on sucks!

Thanks for the advice, but I haven't given up the search yet.

well that 12v sold and was relisted again since the start of this add. makes you wonder why. i see the dash is hacked with just some autometer gauges but other than that the build looks decent.
Where are you seeing the dash pics? This truck has been whored out worse than my ex. I swear I saw it for sale several times when I still lived in Montana. Moved out of there coming on 3 years now. But that was before the 8-lug article date so maybe I just saw it on Craigslist after I moved. Been for sale in North Dakota and now Colorado. Different paint scheme and never any interior pics that I can find. The outside of the truck and the old motor compartment pics look gorgeous. But something is definitely up with it.

Yea each there own. If it was a semi custom dash I could live with the autometer but that just looks tacky to me. I wish it was closer I'd go check it out. There has to be something majorly wrong with it To get passed around like that. Like a hot chick that's a dead fish... next please

In the build on 8 lug they talk about how they were scrambling to finish it. Also notice the pillar gauges are all black in 8 lug now there mixed...
