WTB Programmer for '07 5.9 Cummins

I have a buddy who is looking to buy a programmer for his '07 5.9 Cummins. We've been looking for H&S' but we don't see the reason why the street tuners are costing the 1200+ like the dpf delete capable ones. Someone wanna explain that to us?

Also, if someone would give us some recommendations on what to get that would be great. He doesn't want to spend that much on one so he has been looking at Smarty. Help us out guys, thanks in advance.

Rode in my buddies 06 with just exhaust/intake and a smarty on the highest setting and it did pretty good, still beat him in my truck. He switched to EFI live now and it feels like a whole new truck, I might have my hands full if I race him again lol.

i agree with holders

EFI is a good choice, but there are lots of dodge boys that love that smarty tuner and ive installed a few and drove some trucks with them and they are pretty decent for a dodge truck.
