Doing U-joints and go to replace this ball/socket joint and Ford says it's non serviceable. $700 for a new driveshaft is the only option. Anyone replace one with a 3rd party brand, or know if there is a Ford part # that isn't shown? No way in hell I'm dishing out for a new shaft to replace this little bastard.

any driveline shop will just cut that out of there and reweld in a new joint. When I got my velocity joint qouted for my front shaft, to cut out old, replace, and re balance was like $230... needless to say I greased that sumbitch up and tossed it back in

I see Rockauto has the centering ball listed, I'll just save myself the hassle and order it there.
