Zf5 second gear synchro

Need to change second gear synchro in my 96. How hard would it be to change just the synchro or would I have to break the trans down far enough that I might as well just rebuild it?

You need to break the transmission down almost all the way. So an extra 10 minutes you might as well rebuild the whole thing and put new bearings seals and all the synchro rings in it. I have everything in stock if you want to call me to get some prices.

Just for fun you might wanna try Redline MTF, have had outstanding results using this product. I'd suggest giving it a whirl before you spend the time effort on a rebuild.
