So my e99 has the zf6, 316k and I'm pretty sure syncros are shot in 2nd . Clutch to the floor , will jerk a little bit going into low and reverse, it will also grind 2nd and 4th. 1, 3, and 5 it goes into fine. As soon as you let the clutch out its engaging, like 1/2 inch from the floor. When you press the pedal in it has a good 3-4 inches of travel before disengaging the clutch..it will also pop out of second gear if I don't hold it in. question is , is there a linkage that could be wore out and if so where at? Any way to adjust the clutch or pedal or is the clutch just shot

The clutch pedal is hydraulic so you can adjust it. Check the fluid for the pedal if it is low look for leaks at the master cylinder and slave cylinder. If its full you can have buddy push your pedal down while you watch your slave cylinder and clutch fork to see if your getting full travel, if all seems good i would suspect the clutch and pressure plate are on their last leg.
