ZF6 swap question

So the plan is to swap a ZF6 into my 97 F350. I know this is a complex swap and will not be an easy/weekend project. I have my reasons for going with a ZF6 of the ZF5, so I dont want this to turn into another auto vs manual, or 5spd vs 6spd thread.

Anyways, on to my question. For this swap with the ZF6 bolt up to the OBS' T-case or do I have to run with the SD T-case and build a new linkage/shifter for it? Need to know which parts I need from the donor truck I found on CL

You need the t-case that goes with the zf-6.

IIRC you will have to find u-joints that match the yoke of the t-case and the joints for the driveshafts. They are different sizes if I remember right.

That'll be the least of my worries around here, I live 5 mins from the local heavy truck shop. just bring them what I need or tell them what I want with measurements and they'll find it.
