GM suvs are just miles ahead of others in its class imo... we traded in a 07 XL for the 15' we didn't even look around when the concept was released. This was it when we bought it.

My only regret was not getting the 22's. I really liked my last denali, it was a great truck. But it is amazing the difference 2 body styles makes.

Off topic...I REALLY want a race red '15 rclb 2wd f250 xlt. I built one online, fog lights, soft bed cover, etc..about as loaded as a regular cab could get...WITH the v10. Sucker was like mid $30k's. That's really not that bad, but a lot for a gasser

They don't make the v10 anymore..

Technology, the comfort. The cabins are extremely roomy. Plus this thing turns on a dime

I'll have to keep that in mind... won't probably happen.. will still settle for a loaded expedition or navigator. Guess I'm just more ford at heart than you LOL. ;)

Is that wrapped? Or covered in 5 gallons of plastidip :D. And for those saying they would take a new excursion for $85,000 if Ford made it why don't you buy a 6.7 truck and take it to a place like custom autos by tim and have them build it for you? Just curious. I really think that Ford needs to pull their head out of their a** with the Lincoln's. IMO they need to make some bad ass suv's and high hp cars with the Lincoln branding to compete with Cadillac. But even saying that there's no way in hell I would buy a GM vehicle.

Probably looking at $200k total by the time everything is said and done with it including original purchase cost.

I know this is an EX thread, but those tahoes can look pretty good when they start to mod them.

This one is a little overdone for my taste but I like them with a small, 4", lift and some stanced wheels and tires. There's a white one near my house that's exactly what I described and it looks sweet.

You can find 6.7 mod/swapped exs on c-list every now and again. Saw one yesterday at about 89k. Couldn't speak for the quality of work, but they are out there.

No doubt they're out there, but what you said there, "quality of work", is what I'd be the most concerned about for $90k. Who knows what might be found later down the road if something goes wrong and you find things hacked together and that's the reason for catastrophic failure. $90k is a lot to spend for no warranty whatsoever also.

$200k is taking into account something like a platinum superduty and turning it into an ex using all oe parts also.

According to custom autos by tim it costs 41k for the conversion so add that to whatever truck you buy and there you go. In my area I can get a 15 ccsb 6.7 f250 platinum for 52k so $96,000 total including the extra $3,000 they charge you if it's a king ranch or platinum.

Ok. Even though it's not 200k. Still a lot of money and time to be without a brand new truck. And no way I'd be anywhere around even 60k for that truck to start in this area.

I think $44,000 for the conversion is crazy. You could have the platinum truck plus two excursion for $96,000. I was just saying that if one really wanted a new excursion and was willing to pay $85,000 it's very possible to get one at that price either with a used truck or lower trim level.

You guys gotta keep in mind all the custom stuff people like custom autos by tim do beyond the cheap, easy route. They have a ton on time just in the rear door panels to make them match the front. You wanna add proper fuel door and wheel wells, and now you're talking serous mods and money. To have it done right, I think it's a pretty fair price. Can your backyard mechanic do it cheaper? yeah, probably. Gotta consider quality on a brand new rig though IMO.

I have an buddy close to me does this sort of thing. His are spendy. Difference between what I can do in my shop and his, and knowlege, is tremendous.
