I used to work with a guy that drove that red corvette you ran.

That truck will probably be a monster once you get the bugs worked out of it.

PS. Next time let us guys down here know you are going to the track :poke:

Not worried.

I think I figured out how to get the outlet in square so that doesn't happen again. Im also going to make a gasket that should seal a little better to the back of the turbo.
Im also going to take a spring out of the gate in hopes to have it open a little sooner on its own with no boost assisting it

I like the thinking of that setup, or at least so it needs little boost to help it open. At least it will always open, if a failure not dangerous bp issues.

22 from the big turbo and 60.total on the street. Last weekend it would only make 40-45 total at the strip

Craig im going to flatten then.flange out. Its pretty good but im going to make sure its perfect. That's not so much my leak. Most of my leak is on the cast outlet where it meets the high pressure turbo.

well i think i figured out why the outlet was turned, apparently when i made the hot pipe i didnt have the outlet bolted up sqaure with the turbo, i was able to moddify the turbo mount slightly to get everything to line back up, so far no leaks, but it doesnt seam to spool much faster. I need to get the resonator off tonight and play with the wastegate before i can really say whats going on.

How quick would the 71vgt spool as a single?

Garrett

Probably getting paid at work to post this from my D1

Dustin and I talked about that a few weeks ago. Probably pretty good. Problem is the location. The downpipe and intake piping would be a task. You would have to relocate some stuff to make it work. Probably too much of a hassle to even try.

Took the resonator off. Spools way better. Made 27psi from the big turbo.

Still only made 617 on the dyno. Only one a stock injection pump maintaining 18k rail.

Good to hear things are looking up. I would say the dyno numbers are a big improvement. The rail pressure sucks though. LOL

What happened to the rail pressure?

I never thought you would ask

On my way to work on friday and I got on it for a short burst to see if the big turbo would light. I let out and the rail pressure hung 29k for what felt like forever and then I looked back and there was a huge cloud of white smoke. I got out with fire extinguisher ready to go. After it quit rolling smoke I found it split one of my heavy duty injection lines and sprayed what looked like a gallon of fuel in the back of the high pressure turbo. Needless to say I took the belt and lines off and put stock lines back on and ran the stock pump for now.
