I don't believe anyone has maxed a 6.4s fuel capabilities with dual fuelers. Most run 100% nozzles with them and that enough fuel for 1300hp on spray and 1284hp with 4 turboes and I think Nick said it still would clean that up. Dual k16s handle 150% nozzles too but no one has needed that much fuel yet.

I must be thinking dual stock pumps. I was under the impression walkers triple 6.4 run out of fuel when he made 1009 fuel only at custom auto. Maybe he just did not have big enough nozzles?? Then again that was back in the fall of 2011. Things have changes since then.

Either way I cant wait to see what these CR 7.3 can do. I really do not know a lot about the CR engines and a lot has changed in the past couple years.

Thanks for the clarification.

Nahh... LOL it's still a ways out, at least from what i heard.

just a time issue...lack of

We have 28 guys..but can't seem to find enough time for R&D to be put ahead of paying customers.

The CR project is complete...up, runs, idles, makes good power...but we are continuing to R&D air (into the engine)..as we currently have far more fuel than air.

if we ever get caught up on paying customer engine builds, we'll be able to go back to the CR...but for now, it's just a monotonous grind building HEUI engines.

Hopefully more time can be found soon! Thing is an animal.

First off, what an awesome build! But I do have a few questions on compairing the 7.3(6.4 stroker) to 7.3 CR. If both engines are running dual pumps and say 150% nozzles with the same charger and both running ported heads. Wouldn't the 6.4 based 7.3 slightly edge out the 7.3 CR because of the 4 valves per cylinder? I'm not taking sides by any means but doesn't the 4 smaller valves out flow 2 larger ones? And if I remember correctly Nick made 1284rwhp on 2 pumps with quad chargers(2-72's and 2-58's) and still had fuel to spare. So I would think that this monster Dave is building should be able to hit 1500 on fuel with enough air of course! Again AWESOME JOB on this engine!:ford:

Yeah he said they have plentyyyy of fuel but not enough air, granted they have been running a big single because that's what it will run at the track im sure. But the numbers they've made on a big single.. oh my

All the cfm numbers I've seen a 7.3 head out flows a 6.4 by quite a bit.

I just want to see Scotty's truck up and running again so he can get back to racing!

.

we do too!

however...there no sense in installing a 1100hp engine when we can install a ??hp engine when we have time to finish R&D on air flow.

customers come before R&D.

the best part is that the R&D we were forced to do to get the CR to where it is, directly impacts our direction on all other engine platforms. So current & future products are benefiting from the work (already) completed on the CR project.
