Total seal piston rings

Working on a buddies truck now and he ordered total seal gapless rings. Problem being the lack of instructions in the box. Which groove is the best to install them in? Any experience? Thanks

Dana 80 locker

I considered a spool but they're not much cheaper than a locker. Would like to maintain some street manners. Definitely want to maintain speed.

I'm in the market for a Detroit no spin for my truck. Rear end is a Dana 80 3.73s (not sure on spline count yet). Hoping to tear it apart within the month. Looking for prices and availability.

randomly shuts down

I would check the CPS again. I had an early 2000 that would die randomly when you stepped on the brake pedal. It eventually started doing it ever time you hit the brakes. Slapped a new CPS on it and never did it again.

Dana 80 into SRW 08 for sled pulling?

Ya. You're not going to notice a width difference on an 08. It's hardly noticeable on the 99-04 trucks.

Yes I know the original owner. He was really meticulous. Always got his filters and oil from ford.

Yep I'm a local. Id have to check around but I may have a used cam. As far as the tranny debate goes I say throw some power to it before you swap it. I think you'll love the way it shifts and handles.
