This sounds like multiple problems. The outer door handle should spring back in even if it is taken out of the truck. The lock actuator is a separate piece that connects to the latch assembly. If it does not have a distinct smell could it be steam? Do you have compression in the cooling system?

This is usually a low pressure sensor problem or a control switch. It was bypassed with a toggle switch to 12v+ which in turn also bypassed the high pressure sensor.

Can you tell if it is oil smoke or fuel smoke? Both can be a white color. The smell will tell the tale. Also is it a steady stream of smoke or does it puff? If the EBPV was stuck it could have had high EGTs if you pushed it hard. I would check the turbo on the outlet side also as mentioned...

Even if the flow increases, the pressure stays the same unless the pump can't keep up. The load would decrease if it lost pressure.

The fuel pump has the same load idling as it does going down the road. It is pressure regulated. I think it is a chaffed wire.

Which pump went out? Is the alternator charging? Is the fuel pump running? Any smoke out the exhaust?

Have you checked batteries and cables? If it cranks with no start it is likely to be a voltage issue.

Wow! is the track bar still on it? that is a good place to start. It sounds like bump steer.

Sounds to me like a problem in the hydroboost.
