So basically will act the same way as welding the spider gears?

No the Trutrac works with how the torque is applied. If its just free spinning it dose not bind or grab at all. If you welded the spider gears you would not be able to turn the truck on pavement.

Thanks, I thought you were using the Trutrac but when they said hard locked I thought maybe I missed something. A drove an offroad jeep with the gears welded and yeah, it was a b#tch to turn.

better now than later i guess

That is true. But it still sucks. Left a friends house got on it some. When I got the the end of the road it was running real rough. So I went back. Lots of blowby and the drivers side frame rail is covered in oil from the CCTV delete.
