Hummm... this is going to be very intresting to see how this turns out. I am hopeing for the best for ya buddy. Im glad that you did the duel ball bearing unit though as that will help big time with spool up. How is that turbo going to be mounted onto the stock unit? Also did you look into Elites T4 turbo mount. That would make things pretty easy for ya.

I'm making an adapter similar to theirs. There are actually pictures of the start of it in the first post I believe. But there's no way in hell I would ever pay $900 for that adapter.

I seen the flat peice of machined material that you have. So you are making something like this?

$900 for the cast t4 mount from elite is actually a good deal. Especially if your time is worth something. I bet by the time you are done with yours, you'll be in it that much, atleast, probably more if I had to guess. I do love seeing guys being creative and making stuff on their own. That HP outlet piece looks pretty damn nice. Should make remote mounting a atmo turbo super easy. Like Dustin said earlier, I'd rather see you make these custom pieces and run an EDE 62mm HP turbo in place of the stock turbo. I think you would have a relatively low cost setup that would work well at that point. Might save you the hassle of trying to dial gates in precisely to keep the stock HP alive and happy. Either way, cool project and I look forward to see the results.

I have about 3 hours total in the adaptor as it sits in these pics. But while I was making it I was also running the Cnc mill on another job so I'm not losing time making it. All it needs now is tig welded and the gate inlet.

Yes I've actually had it for like six years I originally bought it for a build on my car and ran it for like a month but it was too lgggy for what I wanted for Street car. 3.0L inline 6.

Supra? If so pictures needed! Sorry for the derail! Lol

do you have that atmo just hanging off the other turbo??

if so, you do have plans on addressing that, correct??

Yes once the adapters all welded up in the gate inlet is welded in and everything there's up a piece of flat stock down on top of the pedestal that's clamped with the factory clamps and I'm going to build a big gusset up to that so there's no wait or stress on the factory turbo.

I have a hard time not liking the DIY guys. Very cool project man. I do have to ask though... is there a reason the atmosphere is leaned back?

Nice work. It's cool to see something come together with a little bit of a new take on things.

Good call on the vbands at the manifold. I have been fighting mine all year. Switching to a different manifold soon as I get some free time
