Is it certain PCM/TCM strategies on the 15's that are having problems or is it just some trucks don't like certain files?

Not sure it appears it may be strategy code, mine is a later build than most 3/15 maybe ford changed something who knows. I have no idea why the innovative tune runs good in my truck and pip doesn't. I tried all 4 pip tunes none worked well on my truck. Pip is working on it im sure we will find out soon enough.

Did they get the codes that are being thrower figured out yet ?

The code problem will be fixed by Sct in a week or 2 just like bigrpowr said. Its not a big deal doesn't effect how the truck runs. Its weird, today the cel light never came on yet yesterday it came on every 5 minutes.

Smokewise my V7 performance tune is about the same as the IDP tune in your vid.
I'll be home tomorrow and if the weather is ok I'll try and get a vid. Could you get a 0-60 vid with your new tunes?

Charles

I couldn't get any smoke or low end power outa mine with v7 tunes as you can see. I will get a 0-60 time video together as soon as it stops raining here. prob be few days.

Here are a couple of vids of mine with the Pip V7 performance tune. It's got a little lag if you just nail it from a dig, But that's to be expected. The 2nd vid I stall it up a little to bypass that lol. The last vid was just a moderate throttle vid so you could compare with how your truck was with the Pip tunes just normal driving.

So I've got a question for you guys that switched over to IDP. I figured I'd give it a try and got my tune loaded up last night. I went to the gym this morning and on my way home, I noticed my ECT's were being erratic. Temp outside was 55 degrees and while cruising at 70 mph on my way home, the ECT would climb to 203, then as soon as it got there, it would stay for about 10 seconds, then drop down to 192 and stay there for about 10 seconds. It continued this pattern my whole way home which is about 8 miles, so not too long. Anybody else notice this? My EOT's stayed at 203 the whole way. I never saw this with my PIP tunes. One other small thing I noticed after going to the IDP tune, my auto door unlock isn't working. I double checked the dash settings to make sure it was still enabled, which it is. I've turned off and back on, still not functioning. These aren't what I would consider big issues, just thought I'd see if anybody else noticed these things.

Your thermostat doing thermostat things has nothing to do with a tune. LOL

Well I just thought it was odd that it's never done it till switching to this tune, as well as the door lock thing. But thanks for your insight.

And I realize how a thermostat works and what it's supposed to do, But making an 11 degree swing in a period of about a minute and continuing to do so when the truck is under no extra load, I'd say somethings a little off.

Yours smokes more than mine did with pip tunes but still not nearly as much as Idp they have much more low boost fueling it really helps with the lag. You also didnt have any tire spin, even on your boosted launch. With Idp my tires spin a little from a non boosted launch and shred if I add any boost. The Idp tune makes more low end power, and maybe more overall. I will get 0-60 when it stops raining.

Mine has also fluctuated between about 195 to 205. It did it stock, with pip and Idp. Not really every minute but it does fluctuate.
Checked my key pad and it works fine. My remote start wasn't working and I thought it was the pip tune causing it but it was the cel that made it disable. As soon as I cleared the codes it worked again.

Thanks for the reply. I just went for the same drive to see if it would still do it. It fluctuated, but not like it was earlier. My keypad works, but what mine is doing, when I put the truck in park, it doesn't unlock the doors like it did before. Not a big deal, just thought it was kind of strange.

It didn't spin because I was in 4-Hi! The roads around here are damp still so 2wd would have been useless!

ya I noticed you meant auto door locks not key pad after I posted but for some reason my edit feature wasn't available. I have never had auto locks turned on so I can't comment on that.

Mine has never unlocked the doors when put in park lol. Talk about making someone mad when you run around the truck to get your 3 yr old out of the car seat when it's pouring rain only to find out that the door is locked lol!!

I have always hard to put it in park and shut it off before they would all unlock.. Even since day 1 at 10 miles on the truck.
