Right now...to the atmosphere.
If the new secondary can control the drive enough...no changes this winter.
If I still have high drive pressure, I'll gate it into the hot pipe.

I'm trying to get this done, but my back pain is "back" again. (Pinched nerve)
Waiting for the muscle relaxant pills to kick in, and I'll try to get this put on today.
Would like to make it to Armor Inc's dyno day on Saturday.

What's the reasoning to the ss housing?

Didn't find a 12cm housing when I posted I was looking for one....

Taylor had a stainless steel housing, and I said I'd take it.
Stainless steel is less prone to cracking...and its polished.

I loved the response of the 68mm turbine wheel in a .70 housing. (Drive pressure over 100psi)

I didn't like the response of the 68mm turbine wheel in the T4 x .83 housing. (Drive pressure over 100psi)

I sure didn't like the 66/73/.80 I ran for all of 50 miles. What a laggy POS! (Didn't care...too laggy/smokey)

So...since Borg changed the turbine wheel on the 73mm, I figured I would just skip another test session with the T4 x .91 housing, and jump to the next mod right off the hop.

Couple of hiccups today.
Cuz if I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all.

No one mentioned that HTT waste gate covers are different than Borg Warner...
Only took an hour to take the 66mm off, then found out the gate plate didn't fit, and had to run to town for some stainless steel plate, shorter 8 x 10 bolts, high temp silicone, and cat litter.
While in town, stopped in to see my mom and dad.
Came home and started making the new plate, and port matched the housing to the HTT high port gaskets.
Finished the plate, put it on, filled the turbo with oil, and made sure the oil circulated through the turbo, took some pictures, and started cleaning up, so I could start mowing the lawn.
Start with clean hands again tomorrow.

That top wheel does not look like a borg warner wheel. It looks like a standard KTS billet wheel. KTS does not do a very good job of mimicking the borg warner design. That is why a lot of guys say the billet wheels acutally hurt power on the borg warner turbos... because KTS does not have the capability to machine them properly.

Yep. That makes sense. They used a standard KTS wheel instead of a genuine BW

Agreed. Up until the release of this sxe, borg has not had a 'billet' 66 available. Definitley not a borg wheel.

As for that stainless housing, that 13cm should work well. Especially in twins, not sure if you noticed but the gate ports are much larger than a cast housing so you'll get great flow through there to alleviate drive as needed.

There isn't much travel for the pucks to move before they hit the cover plate.
I'm still using the BD turbo mounting plate with my T4 up pipes, and there is only 1/8" clearance on the bottom. (Between the plate, and the cover)
-no room for a spacer to increase the travel.

Love this new 69mm turbo!
No comparison between the old 66/73/14 and this 69/73/13. Night and day difference.

Went to the Armor Inc dyno day today in Red Deer.

Everything was going good, until the drivers side high pressure oil line blew off...that tends to kill power for some reason...

Sprayed 4 litres of oil all over the engine compartment, windshield, dyno trailer, etc, in about 3 seconds.

Still put down 789.5 RWHP @ 3600 rpm.
The video looks like the truck was starting to pull some good boost just before the line blew off.:bang
