the 6637 fits easy in a 7.3... the 2790, not so much... i had to move the battery forward in my 01 to get it to fit. my dually has two 6637 filters in it.. its kinda packed.. lol..

oh! i only use the donaldson filters too. its easier to remember the wix/napa numbers lol.... the donaldsons are hydrophobic.. the others might be but i know the donaldsons are...

bigr, when you get your 4" kit done, put one of these filters on and see how they compare..

don't think that will happen. I prefer the multi media of the afe stuff. more choices and better filtration . and certainly easier on the eye.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! I would love to have a No Limit intake but like you I'm done with AFE filters after dusting my 6.0. I'm in western Oklahoma and my truck sees as many miles of dirt as it does pavement. If a Donaldson will keep the throat clean on a tractor in the dustiest field conditions imaginable I'll damn sure trust it on my truck!

Good write up, sounds like what I need when I upgrade to a 6.7! :D

this filter is way bigger filter media wise the 2790 has 10.5" diameter and the 6637 has a 8.5" inch diameter.. the 2790 is 11.88 inches long total hight including neck and the 6637 is 12.38 total hight including neck.. the pleats in the 2790 are 2.75" deep and the 6637 are 2" deep... i am guessing there is close to twice the filter media in the 2790.. the cfm rating, which i think means nothing, on the 6637 is 425 and has done just shy of 800hp on a 7.3 on swamps dyno, the cfm on the 2790 is 680... so a third more airflow...

Pretty sure it was just over 800 and over 1000 on the juice, but who's counting? ;)
