Update. It was the turbo. finally got my hands on one to swap with and the truck runs great now.

Yeah those things act weird at times. Had an issue similar to yours pulled hair out for a few days. Cleaned it actuated it with IDS all seemed normal,replaced it and all was good.

That's odd that it could be commanded with IDS, but wouldn't function otherwise. Odd. Thanks for updating us!
