with 4400# springs, you'll be much happier with the look , just upgrade your shocks , or it will hit the bump stops often . i trimmed mine , but it looks mucho better with 4400# vs 4800 and i have tried them all .

Thanks Mike, always pulling through with clutch information. Just have to get my traction bar situation under control after I get her lowered. I'll give you a call next week and pick your brain on a couple of ideas I've been tossing around.

Anyone tried a hydraulic bump stop?

I wanna go this route with my Excursion but want to keep the ride nice if possible.

Do they ride ok or do they ride rough with the 4400# springs

believe it was determined that if you do that you will have a rake in the truck, 4800's and no rear block set you up perfectly level, but here are list numbers

4,000--5C34-5310-AHB
4,400--5C34-5310-AGB
4,800--5C34-5310-AFB
5,200--5C34-5310-AEB
5,600--5C34-5310-ADB
6,000--5C34-5310-ACB
6,500--5C34-5310-ABB

Finally got this thing sitting like I want-
#4800 coils, rear block gaunt, fox 2.0 resi

After an alignment, and a solid hwy drive 2hr each way to Rudy's I am thoroughly impressed with all aspects of ride quality. I had a 4" lift and couldn't wait to really enjoy my new build with a more suitable suspension set up. Did all the work with a buddy after work each night last week. Finished her up about 1230am last Friday. Going to get some #4400 springs eventually just to see which front ride height works best for me.

So I'm thinking about going low....4800 Lb Springs and no rear block. I have a 350 so I may have to pull the overload spring. My question to you lowered guys is what do you guys use for a track bar? Stock? I have an ICON track bar currently but ICON says its for 0-9" of lift so im not sure it will work. Obviously ill need new shocks as well but i can figure that out on my own...

I'd try the icon bar, if it doesn't work you'll know because the axle will be off center.. From there you can do stock or Trevor at pmf has one that is adjustable for lower trucks.

4800lb springs and no block will look good on your truck.

What's your current tire, shock, and suspension setup?

35x13.50x20 Toyo R/T
20x10 Fuel Maverick -25 offset

OUO ALA's
OUO long gusset Traction Bar with 5" Traction Block
2.5" ICON Front Springs with Icon Track Bar
Fox 2.0 Resi's
Hellwig Sway Bars

My thought was ditch the traction blocks, no rear block, pull the overload spring if I need to, get a bolt on kit from OUO (with new u bolts) with a rebuild kit for the adjuster on the traction bars, do 4800 lb front springs, new fox shocks, and try and use the ICON bar if possible. If ICON wont work ill probably get the pmf track bar

4800lb springs aren't crazy low, I doubt it'll shift your axle too much.. I never noticed my 6.0 axle shifted with a cut 4400 lb spring and the stock track bar

Stock track bar here. Only issue we have had with anything is when we recently put my flight fab 4 link on. It moved the axle forward maybe an inch or so ato it's shortest adjustment. Molded the 4 link, no issues. Saw a lowered truck at rudys with the same 4 link, front axle was slightly forward like how mine would have been.

I am very tired of bouncing off the bump stops, shock upgrades just don't do it, and I believe this is the answer.

Does anyone have pictures of a lowered 6.4 with frenched in hydro bump stops?

Cant you just buy weld on frame rail mounts and get a longer bump stop?

Shane aka WhiteMonster is about to do this on his f350 6.4. Although he runs stock spring front and a 2" rear block on king shocks. I believe his air bump stops are King as well that he will be doing.
