So you've tried one tune and it was a RACE TUNE and you think your truck doesn't like tunes? How bout trying a high hp street tune? The race tunes are specifically built to run like a race tune. Some guys run em' all the time, but I personally prefer a tune that has "street" manners. I know for a fact that Innovative offers an Extreme Street tune that was designed to shift well on the road as a daily driver while still allowing the driver to waste the rear rubber at will. I run the Quick tricks Auto Looney Wild DD normally, but if I hook up to more than just my lawnmower trailer I switch to the Innovative Diesel street tune (not extreme street). Anything heavier than 4500lbs gets back to stock. When I went from the Looney to the Looney Wild DD Viv told me that the only difference between the DD and Race versions was that the DD had a revised shift pattern to keep it streetable. The Race was designed to run at the track and do it as fast as possible. Not fun to drive day to day. Worldwide73, got the Wild and tried to run it on the road and didn't like the shifting at all. He contacted Vivian, they revised the tune and thats how the DD version starts out now. They did a great job squeezing a ****load of power out and its still tame enough to drive daily.
