Just a little bump to the top. As sootie has mentioned he has had antifreeze in his crankcase. He contacted use and picked my brain about the experiences we have had with cracked blocks of the same nature. The talks ended up with the engine being pulled and shipped down to us.

The agreement was made in a list of parts and pricing to do the build. Also agreed upon was that we will not perform anything until the leak was positively confirmed. Here's what's we found after some disassembly and pressure check. The pic is not perfect but you can see the rust line in the block. It had plenty of bubbles when pressurized to 40psi.

The crack is exactly where the majority of them split. In the second head bolt in from the end in the lifter valley.

And some pics for sootie since I don't think the engine showed up yet. He may be antsy to see it.

We did a full new block, HD pistons, HD springs, HD pushrods, new lifters, new oil cooler, new studs and oem gaskets, all new seals bearings and gaskets.

Get ready to have some fun with that new engine!

Wow that looks really pitted where the rust is. That's weird.

Have fun with that engine man!

Thanks for posting up Morgan! i will say-dealing with you and your company is a pleasure. In my books, nothing beats no bs, honest dealings. the quick turnaround time was a plus as well.

just waiting on my trans at the moment and we should be rolling again

what is the accepted break-in procedure for the motor?

Ok . So slightly stock??

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. I intend to upgrade the air side of the equation a little more but do not plan on dual fuelers or nozzles.

The truck has all the supporting mods for what is done already and a built trans is on the way...

RCD Torque Convertor & Refreshed trans

Something was slipping in the drive-line as the rpms would climb drastically in 3rd gear and the speed wasn't increasing incrementally LOL
i figured the stock TC couldnt hold the power so i decided to install an aftermarket unit. i picked up an RCD unit with a 1600 rpm stall.

i also installed a trans with billet input and low/reverse hub and Suncoast IronPac 3 rebuild kit.

We'll see how long this lasts... :demon:

all i can say is-now that i've driven a truck with an aftermarket TC its gonna be hard to drive a stock one. when it locks, it is instant and pulling thru the gears with it unlocked it feels really strong.

All I have to do is let off of the pedal and mine stays locked too.

I bet you can't shift as fast as us though hahaha

I can't believe you decided to stoop to that level but since you did, I don't mind bragging that last Fall I ran the 1/4 mile in 24 flat. According to my trap speeds, I was pushing 600 HP so it only took me 11.5 seconds to shift gears. I bet your auto can't compete with that.
