Well its been a while and I have made a lot of progress on the new truck so I figured it was time to start a new thread on it. I sold the 2013 F350 Platinum back in October, it all happened so fast. I sold it on a Wednesday and needed my truck for the weekend. I was supposed to have a 2014 Silver F450 Platinum but somehow it was traded to another dealer. I had to choose between white and black. I swore I would never own another black truck but just couldn't see the point in getting the same exact color truck again. So I went for it and got the tuxedo black metallic.

I brought the F450 home early Friday afternoon. Once again I got together with my good friend Josh over at The Diesel Cartel. We literally had picked out all the parts in about an hour and first thing Monday morning Josh placed the order.

Superchips SCTX4
Amp Steps
Rigid Fogs
Rigid Rock Lites in place of the supplied AMP less
Rigid Flush Mounts for rear bumper
Custom Truck Solutions color matched Ford Emblems
AFE intake
Full Recon smoked lenses
MBRP 6" Tip
Flo Pro 5" DPF back
Icon 2.5 springs
Fox Shocks, the cbrushed look of the body ties in well with the Platinum pieces
Fox Steering Stabilizer
The Diesel Cartel train horn kit
Retro Shop Quad Projector headlights with quad halos
Retro Shop Recon color matched tuxedo black tails
Retro Shop Recon 3rd Brakelight color matched
American Force 22.5 Blades, brushed then tinted powder coat to match Platinum
Summitomo Traction Tires

I prob forgot some stuff but off the top of my head thats pretty good!

Going to order up some PMF rear blocks to bring the ass end up a bit prob next week.

I keep going back and forth if I should delete it or not. Such a catch 22, its real nice and quiet but I miss the whistle and growl. Here are some completed pics

Looks really good!

How do you like the 450 compared to your old 350??

This truck turns so good compared to the F350. Its really two different animals though. This thing just feels like it wants to rip the tongue right off the trailer. The F350 felt much faster but the F450 has 430's and I'm in 6th gear by the end of my driveway LOL.

The 22.5 really helped knock the gear down, gonna put an old garmin GPS on it to see the difference in the speedo.

Holy crap that looks good. You have the same truck as me and we share the same first name, well mine is a F350 dually. How well do those headlights work? How does the truck ride with those stiff sidewalls that 22.5's have?

The headlights are a must. What a difference over stock. The top projectors come on when you put the high beams on. when all 4 projectors are on its VERY bright. Gotta make sure to turn them off when a car is coming.

The rigid Q's in the fogs are also very bright. I don't run them unless nobody is around as I keep getting blinked and have them pointed all the way down. They are so bright that they will shut off peoples landscape and entrance pillar lights if the photocell is in the path of the rig ids lol.

The truck rides just fine with the big rig tires. i don't regret it at all. I kept going back and forth on this set up or a 24" rim with the 325/50/24 nitto.

I didn't want to use air bags on this truck so I just installed a 4" block over the rear pack, something simple and easy. Maybe later I might have to do traction bars but for now I will leave it alone.
