No I mean H&S has a kit that uses the stock CCV box, just plugs the intake port. The No Limit is a d3lete of the stock box, same one I used only I routed the hose to my DP.
oh ok.. makes sense now..
The gunk is soot from the egr system mixed with the wet oil vapor from the crank case. I think it wouldn't be near that bad if the egr was de leted and ccv left in place. Unless you have an engine issue there shouldn't be any actuall oil in the ccv. After almost two years there still isn't any oil in my reroute hose. I plan to move mine from the exhaust back to the intake since the humidity in florida causes a constant haze in my exhaust at idle .
so with derete tuning, egr off but still on motor it shouldn't allow eg to go into intake right? so technically if there really is that much build up it was done way early in life or there are other issues..
i just went and looked at mine and the hose comes out of the black ccv box and down to dam near where the compressor wheel starts if im looking at it correctly?
doesn't look like it would be that hard to take the throttle valve off but does it seal with a crush gasket? how do you get the innercooler quick coupler looking thing off the valve?
