Charles-the zf behind a gasser is just as bad. I had a 96 with a zf5 and the truck would shake like someone had to smack the flywheel with a hammmer to get the clutch to disengage. Then the violent shudder. It would creep through stops unless you held the brake. We pulled a 26' pintle hitch trailer with a ford industrial tractor on back. It was a 20k lb trailer loaded. It wasted the trans. What did a 460 make? 250hp?

I'd be tempted to call American Powertrain and see what they have to offer, if the ZF6 is such a POS.

After 8 auto I Swapped in a zf5. Wish I would have gave B'S OR JOHN WOOD a chance.
