So I loaned my Dad my E1999 F350, to use on the farm this winter and he has noticed a few things that arent really an issue but I would like to know more about:
It has been a consistant 30 degrees every morning and if it is plugged in it chugs like a tractor and then high idles (normal). When its not plugged in he has to cycle the glow plugs two-three times (he knows about them staying on after the light goes of), it then barely catches to start and runs rough till he gets it down the road (after idling 5 or so minutes).
It has brand new factory glow plugs as of July. GPR has proper voltage
His thought is new injectors (mine have 280K on them)
I was thinking ICP, refresh the IDM, and a Stancor Relay before injectors
Any thoughts?
I understand cold weather effects everything differnt, but this truck has to be 100% reliable for several years to come.
