Sounds good Joe.

Also, pm your address.

It sounds great! Need to get my tunes updated. Had a fuel leak this morning, fixed that, small O ring on the Strictly fuel system gave up at the feed block.

Oil leak out of the damn Dipstick tube... fudge.

Fixed the dipstick tube, or at least slowed it. Will park it this weekend, clean it good and RVT it.

New O-ring on the damn thing and it just wont seal. I always RVT them from the outside too, but this time I thought I would be good and just use the O ring...

Small leak from the front of the pan... Didnt like the way it sat down there when I did it, but figured it would be ok. I'm going to clean it up and try and bandaid it from the outside this weekend... Will have to come out again this summer when its warm and light until 10... LOL

Otherwise its so nice to have a motor that fires right off without issue.

I've gotta do something with mine. It was siliconed and that held up for maybe a year. Then tore it apart and put an o-ring in which lasted for like 2 days and it was leaking again. Not sure what the best thing to do is now.

Wow, i dont feel so bad now. Mine leaked in those EXACT 2 places. I was able to fix them both with a little ford grey I had.

You will find I dont hide much... If I *** up, I'm not afraid to post up... If someone else ***s up, I'm not afraid to post up... LOL

I think he is pricing it at having to pull the motor just for this one problem vs pulling the motor for a combination of stuff including the dipstick, so in that way it makes sense but it is definitely a chunk of change

I just thought it was crazy that yours had a leak in the exact spot, I was afraid I had messed up somewhere and that's what caused it.

The dipstick was easy to get to stop leaking, the front of the oil pan was a pita tho.

Thats the heavier version they sell. It holds a dressed 7.3 without much issue. Don't plan on flipping the motor without help, but it works. The lighter duty one they sell will hold a short block, but it will not hold a dressed motor.

Sounds like my stand.. It holds a dressed with oil in it 7.3L with easy.. Like you said dont turn it over without help!! or atleast get help spinning it back around!!! I have plans to change the spinning part of the engine stand out to bearings and gear driven with a stopper to hold it where I want it.. The little handle you are supposed to use to "spin" the engine is a joke!! I grabbed it and turned the engine part way then it went all the way by itself. stopped when it hit my shine! :D

My plan Bearings, Gear drive that takes a bunch of turns to spin the engine on time along with a click stop cog that can be put into the gear to hold it where you want it..

Glad you got it up and going!! I first heard about CSIPSD on youtube watching videos of the 7.3L.. that was years ago!

From my experience it seems as though it is a pan weakness. You can put an entirely new peice with new orings and all on, with the same original pan and it will leak. Maybe RTV will seal it up, but that isnt how it is "supposed to be".
New pan fixes all the issues. All motors we rebuild get new pans for this reason.

Just resealed me first 7.3 pan few weeks back. Ford says it need like a 6mm bead on front and back and 3.5 on the sides. It looked ridiculously thick to me but when you put a pan down dry you see the gaps that need to be filled. Also the ford 7.3 sealant is a must. Its a caulk Tube that specifically says for 7.3. Joe if it was a new pan, it should have came with a new o ring and dipstick tube adapter. I hope you did not install a dorman pan.
