Nah,
The half inch rod and nuts is for pressing in the new seals. I've had luck just prying the old ones out with pry bar.
I have the actual tool for this but for dodge.. I've never had to use it for a Ford.
Before covid, long before. I rebuilt my 6.0 and used at that time what were supposed to be the end all be all lifters with added oiling and stronger bearings blah blah blah, it roasted 1 right after6i sold it... Ugh it's a hard sell.
Nothing kills me more than the guys that come in with the amsoil dual bypass oil filter setups and only use 25k mile interval amsoil but change it every 5k and they eat a camshaft just like a factory oil truck does... Lmao..
I think people are getting way too caught up in the oil game and worrying about something that's really not an issue any more.
I run Amazon 5w30 in the SHO and 0w20 in the highlander. Those oils come back super strong with great package still left after 5k miles. Both vehicles have been...
I bounce between rotella 5w40 and valvoline 5w40 in my Camaro(LS1). it gets tested yearly and oil holds up fantastic.. Can't say for a huei though.
It used to get M1 but I got lazy.
I can't say.
Ive ran amsoil in my truck. It ran horrid. To the point I thought I had a cracked pick up tube the oil was so frothy and aireted.
Then I found 5w40 M1.
I've lab tested it a dozen times and it's cleared for 12k miles. So that's what I'm sticking to
1 other hot tune does it. I mentioned to tony I had an issue always with this truck 38-42 it will just constantly fucking shift in/out of OD. So that helped that issue.
That's Mobil 1 TDT 5W40. I won't run anything else.
