I have to go look... pretty sure I only have one left and its needed for a truck.
Its interesting to see how many people have made these since I posted the idea and then pictures of the first one online.
No offense taken at all - just providing a different perspective. I totally understand when you mean crumbs - but you have to start somewhere and I personally think it has been making great strides in the last 5-6 years. It might be a passing fad - or it could be the start of a trend. Only time...
Open Source has come a long ways in some areas. There are plenty of guys that actively support a number of coding projects that are quite successful. Look at the Linux program, or some of the RepRap 3D printing equipment that is both hardware and software and treated as open source.
Just...
Don’t be too proud of this technological terror you’ve constructed. The ability to empty an injector is insignificant next to the ability to have a truly fast injector.
Fast represents flow rate - not slower than molasses in January but empties anyway because it has nothing to give.
I'm not even sure you can use the words ridiculously fast when describing HEUI injectors with a straight face.
While we are at it.... how is an AA with 80% tip any faster than say any other A code based injector with an 80% tip??
Well I moved everything over from the injector thread that started talking about the differences in nozzles and how they work, etc.... I'm sure there is a lot of junk and hopefully everything still makes sense... but it was over 300 posts once the the 200% tips were brought up..... I just don't...
Go ahead and start a new thread with info. After it gets going a bit, I'll make it a sticky.
Since you mentioned Dmax - and I tend to agree with Charles quite a bit on injection theory (shorter duration fuel injection at the right time is cleaner and more powerful) - my Dmax dynos about...
The 80% tips and 100% tips are manufactured using the same size starting hole - the 80% receive a little bit of EH to clean them up, the 100% tips just keep flowing EH material until they reach 100%. I'm sure if the 100% tips started with a larger hole and just had minor clean up work to them...
Glad to see that you are finally figuring out how to setup the truck. Take it slow and don't change too many things at once. Getting the COG set correctly helps a ton, getting the suspension set to match that COG helps even more.
