    Fitch Fuel Catalist

No personal use or experience, but I have seen it before.....Might have even made a post somewhere back in the day when gas prices were shooting up. Ultimately though, my theory is, "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is." I never went any further than that. -Aaron

    Wicked Wheel 2

One of my good friends replaced one with no other mods other than freshening up the turbo. He never really mentioned much about throttle response, but it did increase his boost #'s by a noticeable amount. Gained about 4-6 psi on his and he has recommended it to a few other guys around here...

    exhaust housing adapter questions

As requested. Maybe this will help with my redemption. Lol The first picture is the 1.15 housing, the second and third are the stock Super Duty .84 housing just from different angles. I know the .84 and 1.0 adapters are the same because I put my 1.0 turbine housing that came on my 38r on a...

    exhaust housing adapter questions

Well crap....I have to apologize and eat crow. My memory failed me. I looked on the truck, in fact I'm still at work, and the outlet is different. I didn't remember different options for the high flow outlet, but it is NOT the same as my 1.0 38r housing or the factory .84. Those match, but you...

    exhaust housing adapter questions

I will look in a few hours when I get off work, but my 1.15 housing that is non-wastegated definitely accepted the same outlet adapter as my 1.0 wastegated housing and my stock .84. I still have my stocker in a box on the shelf and have the 1.15 on the truck so I should be able to settle this...

:whs: I can't imagine there is that much difference. -Aaron

    exhaust housing adapter questions

No....The adapter should swap over fine. I have the 1.15 housing on my 38r and it was the same outlet as the 1.0 housing that came on the 38r and stock turbo. The "adapter" gets moved over to the new turbo when you get a 38r new. I bought an outlet/"adapter" that eliminates the EBPV, but...

    exhaust housing adapter questions

What do you mean by "adapter"? Are you talking about the the outlet that bolts to the turbine housing or the turbine housing itself? I thought the outlets were the same on the van and SD's. I know the turbine housings are different, but both housings should work with the 4" downpipe. -Aaron

    Hiccup @ idle only

Well, with the holidays I had my days confused, I don't go to work until Monday. Lol. I've put about 150 miles on it since the injectors though and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I almost sounds rythmic, like it might be one injector/cylinder causing the problem. It does it in the...

    Hiccup @ idle only

Fair enough...Guess I'll give'er hell on another drive tonight and see what happens, unless something gives it up tonight I will still drive it to work tomorrow and then report back. Thanks.

    Hiccup @ idle only

Ok, so I just got done with what I would consider some major upgrades...238/80 incjectors, 910 valve springs, pushrods, new tunes, head studs, glow plugs and UVCH's. Cycled the key until I had good pressure on the FP gauge and then cranked truck twice before pluggin in the harness and cranked...

    Clearing cylinders question.

Nope. Figured it was going to drain more fluid than I wanted in the cylinders that would need cleaned out either way so why open up another hole that might leak later. I just pulled the rear injectors first and worked forward. This is more like what I wanted to hear. Guess when my valve...

    Clearing cylinders question.

I'm finishing up doing injectors (along with a few other supporting mods while I was under the valve covers) and am scared to death that I am going to miss something obvious and cause a failure. I just don't want any failure to be because of my stupidity SO, that being said.....I cleared what I...

    Valve Spring?

What exactly are you looking for? Mine is still apart if you want pictures of how much room it will free up. If you want the steps of removal, for mine I just took out the 13 little screws with an 8mm head that hold the plastic on and I think it was one screw that helped hold the accumulator...

    Valve Spring?

Since I took mine out I can't confirm or deny either way. I CAN tell you that mine is tight enough on that side that no matter how hard I tried I had to rock the motor up just to get the heater box out. Doing that along with rocking the motor over made it easy. (Well, as easy as leaning that...

    EBPV delete how?

No worries, that's why I said there "MAY be more going on there". Just sharing the experience. I was monitoring engine oil temp from the OBDII port (on a Scangauge) for both trucks and considering 170* "warmed up". My truck has always taken a long time to get that warm though, even in the...

    EBPV delete how?

It may or not be an issue to you, but I have borrowed a friends truck that has a functioning EBPV in the winter here (20's-30's at the coldest) and his truck warms up noticeably quicker than mine with the EBPV deleted. There MAY be more going on there since it is two different trucks, but I can...

    EBPV delete how?

I bought the high flow outlet and the non-EBPV for mine. The actuator in the pedestal was leaking really bad on mine and it seemed like a clean fix at the time. If I recall correctly I just left the harness plugged in and left the electrical part of the actuator laying in the intake valley to...

Ebp sensor and tube (tuner input needed)

Due to one of the threads recently and talking about using it for tuning/shifting I asked about my tunes from the place I got them, since mine has been functioning, but incorrectly for some time (I never noticed it wasn't working right except for way back when it was stock it never closed the...

    Valve Spring?

Ok....Well, I already had the heater box all unbolted and couldn't get it out without jacking up the motor, but I can say this....There is a ton of room with the heater box removed AND the engine jacked up on the one side. It seems like it comes up higher on the passenger side than the driver's...
