Um a good harmonic goes a long ways, saves the mains from self destructing at 4500 rpm and lots of boost.. I forgot Prostock engines in the NHRA run standard shelf BBC or BBF balancers because their balanced right??- elrodalexander73

Call you're local turbo shops and see if they'll trade for an H2E?? Then you'd be closer to a T4 setup, I've done some horse trading with turbo/fuel shops as sometimes they do core exchange towards products you need, with those a 250/100s an H2E would be nice compliment to them...- elrodalexander73

Take your old engine out, scatter it on the bench, put a $1600 rebuild kit in it with MAHLE pistons, have a GOOOOODDDD machine shop machine it and check everything, forged rods are tougher than you think. An HT3B on a 7.3?? Hmmm a T6 turbo intended for the Big Cam cummins back in the mid 80s?? T6 flange to start, big exhaust side, big compressor side, maybe some 400/400s might spool it hard enough quick enough with a cam and some head work, but thats alooot of charger for a 7.3 to run on the...- elrodalexander73

Do you know what the cost of a 7.3 CGI block is, enough to justify tuning and alot of other things like girdles and block filling, not to mention you're already gonna be using billet stuff at that point, alot of engines not just the 7.3 tune the cylinder pressures lower in the lower rpm where...- elrodalexander73

800hp, reliable and driveable on the street maybe two different things, will it daily drive ok? yup. There's enough guys on here doing it, do they have the coin in it in the right places? yup.. What most I think fail to understand is that Double Overtime was an engine built by TFS performance... Not an engine any of us will build to that level, everything was tweaked, yeah the mechanical Vpump really brought it to life, but the CNC ported heads and the valve train to get it to 6500 rpm...- elrodalexander73

Talk to Bill Cohcran or Matt at Gear head or even call Jonathon at swamps about tuning the trans, they know alot more than I do, I remember years back driving a truck with the "crappy Banks Trans command" and the lock up was delayed in 3rd gear under hard throttle to help assist in converter...- elrodalexander73

Busted input shaft
The shifting sequence needs to be adjusted, you can lock your converter after the 3rd gear is achieved, thats a clean break on the shaft, clearly a shock load break, the problem with PWM converter strategies is that the trans constantly hunts for gears, I've spent a good deal of time working...- elrodalexander73

Comp Beehive Spring questions
The stock rotators are supposed to turn the valve like 2.5 degrees every time it moves up and down to help keep the sealing surface true, this was designed to help stop hot spots on the valve as it was placed under heavy load conditions... Mahle Forged Aluminum pistons from swamps, anyone running them yet?
Thank you so much for the solid info!! But would it help with changing the bowl design and piston height to help utilize all the fuel nowadays.. I know with a lot of the larger engines I've worked on piston bowl design has played a huge counter part in the terms of higher horsepower ratings..- elrodalexander73
