600hp was fun but boring. Going bigger!

I did a little bit of research on them. I've never seen or messed with a Synapse gate before. From what I see, I would hook up boost reference to port C (second from the bottom) and regulated boost reference to port B (second from the top) just like we do on all other wastegates. These are both...

600hp was fun but boring. Going bigger!

What gate do you have again? I've gone through the last 10 pages looking and didn't see it, but I know I remember seeing you post it somewhere in this thread...

    1995 7.3 IPR wiring question

The solid red wire is in position D and the tan/red stripe wire is in position E. Those letters are the same on both sides of the connector. I'm sure my tan/red stripe wire used to be yellow a long time ago. Now, unrelated to the IPR, the red/white stripe wire is in position C, red/black...

    1995 7.3 IPR wiring question

Mine are tan/red stripe and solid red. I went up the harness a little way and I guess the wires are faded. Its not yellow at all. Here's some pics off my phone. EDIT: I didn't see your reply until I got back in the office. If you need to know which letter positions they are in, I can go back...

    1995 7.3 IPR wiring question

So the two wires on the engine harness side of the fuel bowl connector that are for the IPR? I'll run out to my truck and check it for you.

    advantage of electric fans

I'm running the Flex-a-lite setup in my truck. Now that I got the temp probe mounted in the upper radiator hose, I like them a lot better. I got my fans used off a friend of mine. They were 5 or 6 years old when I got them. I had to replace one fan blade that was stripped out, the VSC, and I...

Big Oil and Big fuel not so big..

I've worked on a truck that acted stupid at high ICP before. That truck just had stage 2's. On a tune that commanded 3000psi, it would stumble at high ICP and part throttle. Floor it and ICP would drop to around 2800 and it cleared up and ran hard. Put it on a stock tune that commanded 2800psi...

600hp was fun but boring. Going bigger!

Stealth billet pumps take up just as much space in the valley. FYI... I was really surprised how big they are the first time I had to work on one. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337

Big Oil and Big fuel not so big..

resistance can cause the incorrect voltage to be returned to the PCM from the ICP, which would indicate ICP is lower/higher than it actually is.

    Interesting Oil Temp finding...

Oil temps on my truck dropped about 10* across the board when I switched to the 180* t-stat. I used to see 210-220 when I had the 203* t-stat and now im at 200-210. I'm happy with the temps I see now, I just wish I could get down to that 190 range while cruising. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337

Big Oil and Big fuel not so big..

I run an Isspro electric fuel pressure gauge on one truck and an Autometer electric fuel pressure gauge on the other one. Both had sending unit failures within the first 500 miles, but after replacing both sending units that one time they have both been very reliable.

    Interesting Oil Temp finding...

Agreed. Cruising down the road unloaded in my truck and in the Texas heat, my oil temps range from 200-210* (at the hpop rez) depending on my speed and coolant runs around 204-212*.. Today cruising into work oil temp stayed between 202-205* and I was cruising at 70mph with ICP at 1400psi on flat...

Big Oil and Big fuel not so big..

Like I've been telling you for at least a year. You've got to get some diagnostic equipment if you ever plan to figure these things out. I would like to know what the ICP and fuel pressure is doing.. As far as the throttle pedal goes, have you tried replacing it with a known good pedal...

    EFR 9180

Maybe. I need to look at it more. I would want to do that over where Irate mounts the gate anyways to make the gate easier to get to in case I ever need to change springs.. If I don't come up with a reasonable solution when I do mess with it, I'm still considering adding an external gate into...
