DFI Performance - T4 conversion kit review
When I got pricing awhile back, I was told near $1800-1900 IIRC. Either way, I decided as nice as it may be, it's not really $300-400 nicer than an Irate kit in my mind.. I wanted the Turbonetics kit in a bad way, but you used to be able to get them closer to the price of an Irate kit.- strokin'_tatsch

From what I could find, you can no longer get THE Turbonetics kit. None of the vendors that I approached that I had seen sell the kits in the past were able to get me one. Is the truck losing any oil? Any oil in the fuel system??? Is the fluctuation in ICP when it is idling rough greater than normal? Electric fans?
It's going to sound crazy, but the more and more power the alternator has to produce to hold a certain voltage, it takes a little more power to turn it. IIRC it's only like 1 horsepower for every like 10-12 amps or something like that. So theoretically my Flex-a-lite fans need about an extra...- strokin'_tatsch

Need some nitrous help
I would look into setting up a progressive controller so you can soften the hit of the nitrous and start spraying sooner. I like the NOS Launcher controller, but there are others out there so check them out and see what you like.- strokin'_tatsch

Put the adapter ring on the bulb and put the bulb in just like you would your stock bulbs.. You will need to use the lock that you used for your stock bulbs and you will have to cut them down in order for them to work correctly.- strokin'_tatsch

If you don't use your high beams at all, you'll be happy. If you ever do use your high beams though, don't expect to notice any difference at all over the low beams. I use my high beams daily, so not having the use of high beams was out of the question for me. Plus I hated the idea that the guy...- strokin'_tatsch

I ran them in my 2000 with '02 OEM headlights... Low beams are awesome. They shine just as far as halogens do, but MUCH brighter light. The high beam is quite literally useless. I have picture comparisons between low/high beams and halogen/LED. If you want to see the pics, just shoot me a PM...- strokin'_tatsch

If it were me, I'd just get another DIIC... My OBS has one and if I ever do one in my SD I'll get another one. I doubt you'd see much if any difference going to the Hypermax IC.- strokin'_tatsch

The notes that I have from when I was considering using a Taurus or Mark VIII fan on my mud truck say the fan from the 90-95 era Taurus w/ 3.8L engines is 21.5"(W) x 15"(H) x 4.5" deep. Cool. I don't mind getting whatever pics I can if you need them. I have two trucks that have electric fans on them and a friend of mines OBS pulling truck has e-fans also so I could get pics of them too. What is it that you want to see? It's pretty simple, mount the fan(s) to the radiator core.. You can do that with either the push pins that go through the radiator fins or build yourself a shroud and mount the fans to the shroud. Having a shroud is the best way, but for a pulling truck it isn't...- strokin'_tatsch

Electric fans not working is news to me. I know many people say it doesn't work, but it's been fine for me..
