    In my opinion the 38r is a great turbo, as long as you keep clean oil flowing to it and don't over fuel it - and keep it under the recommended boost levels! Who cares if it's a throw away turbo? Treat it right and it's gonna last long a the truck itself! For those that are gonna beat the piss...

    If it were my truck and my money I would go with pis 200/30 sticks and a 38r , arp studs and 910 springs, then defiant leu throw a bts valve body and stallion converter at it to keep the trans happy

    Blue smoke on cold start...

    My truck does the same! Didn't do it with stock injectors at all. Soon as I put the 160/30 sticks in bam blue smoke at cold start, and it is defiantly blue smoke from fuel not oil! I want to get mine live tuned soon, just waiting for either nltd or php does a road show up this way

    7.3l upgrade ideas

    I like to get my 7.3s to 400 ish hp I like bellowed up pies with a 38r and a set of 160/100 or 160/30s then a frx for fuel side mods and a clutch to hold it. I've built bigger higher hp builds but for the money spent and parts broken 400 is cheap fun and reliable.! No big trans build required...

    It all depends on what you want to do wih it. Keep it releitivly stock I would pick the 2003 if you plan on going with hybrid injectors and running aggressive tunes I would go with a forged rod motor which is in the obs trucks and 99 and 2000 sd

    Look at my sig it's. Close to 400 I'm sure, I would go with a 38r and is what I'm gonna go with. Stock turbo with ww2 and waste gate closed never cleans up the 160/30 sticks so power is still to be had with more air! I love my setup and wouldn't want to go any bigger due to the studs, springs...

    How to make power in a 7.3

    38r and 238/80 hybrids valve springs headstuds and tge fuel system. Intercool it then Live tune it . 450 plus rwhp and plenty reliable aftr you adress tye transmission.

    What have you done to your powerstroke today?

    Also getting ready for winter.... but I just power washed the underside for 2 hours.... Gonna let it sit for a day then tomorrow ill undercoat everything with about 2 gallons of fluid film! Then drive it down a dusty dirt rd.

    Almost sounds like your master is getting pushed by your hydro booster.... Make sure there is no corrosion between the master and hydro booster..

    Matthews lx, I shoot beaman hunter arrows cut to length with g5 montec fixed broad heads. I've shoot over 15 bucks with this setup and have had a complete pass through on every single one. I shot the last 7 with the exact same lucky arrow and luck montec..... Thing has been resharpend every time...

    duratracs just lke stated already....they flat work. (i had them on my truck in michigan) moved to maine and now have bfg all terrains...i know im gonna be missing my duratracs come january
