    Yep the Trans is water cooled so it will be around that temp. I think there is a thermostat in it that opens at 180F

    with the h&s can you read the pyro in the block off plate as well as the stock egt1 sensor? i would like to see what the difference is between those two readings.

    from my 7.3l experience you dont want to go above 1250 for very long. not sure how that translates to the 6.7l yet. as for the noise between shifts...it sounds normal to me. i used to have a manual trans and you could hear this noise on every shift. its just excess pressure coming back out...

    so maybe they are not far off then.....maybe 50-100* cooler at the EGT1 compared to pre-turbo.....at least while cruising empty and at idle. the highest i have seen my EGT1 while towing is maybe ~1250. 1625 sounds scary high to me

    for comparison....with my edge cts: cruising down the interstate at 70mph yesterday my Stock sensor EGT1 was reading 500-600 depending on the small rolling hills. when its up to temp and i pullin to park somewhere its in the low to mid 400's and then takes about 30seconds to 1 minute to drop...

    The numbers in your 1st post sound low for them to be post turbo sensors.......unless mine are reading high on the CTS Insight.

    would it not be the easiest for Ford to read idle as anytime there is no throttle input? Just guessing?

    Just felt like saying...

    loving mine also.... 2012 F250 lariat CC only 1600 miles so far but every time i pull in to the driveway i kinda say to myself "dang it's over...i gotta get out :(" pulling the camper to Tennessee next week and really looking forward to testing her in the bigger hills there.
