I Haven't looked yet but I was thinking maybe a HPOP line cracked or broke.. It doesn't really have any power anymore either.. Wouldn't h break or crack in a HPOP line give it a bad knock and make it smoke if oil was spraying on the exhaust ?

sounds like you lost an injector nozzle, or possibly (if installed recently) you have an injector not seated properly.

look for carbon up above the copper washer, similar to this

If it is a injector nozzle or a cracked injector cup would it knock real bad to ?

a cracked inj CUP would have your diesel fuel pissing out of your coolant tank...

a cracked inj NOZZLE (or poorly seated inj) would have your diesel fuel pissing into your cylinder..effectively hydro-locking it every time that piston comes up to TDC.

don't drive the truck, you'll burn up a piston in a hurry.

If the underside of the hood is not soaked in oil, you didn't break a HPO line.
If you have no oil pressure, and you have oil in the crankcase, the Low pressure oil pump would be the first place I would look.

Bent/broke pushrods.

very possssible...

but generally if an exhaust valve weren't opening...you wouldn't get any smoke out the tailpipe (for that particular cylinder), accompanied with popping out the intake/air filter area.

if an intake valve weren't opening...then you wouldn't get knocking sound...though you would still get raw fuel out the tailpipe (no fresh air for combustion).

Where's the easiest place to check my LPO pressure to determine if my pump is failing or if my sending unit is just bad ?
