I've seen a few truck run times that put them into the low/mid 500s. Kens truck being one. I think 550 would be tops.

I could care less what number a dyno spits out. I just tell people when they ask how my hp it has. Enough to run 12.38.

440Hp 160/100s and a few hit 600hp on 300/200s. Why run a 100%?? You KNOW its been done with a 200% A code is what i might be a little lost on. According to a DJ 248C my personal truck made 561HP on 160/100s so its a hit or miss with a dyno i guess. I would get your track times and compare to a load dyno and a inertia pick the medium and tell people that LOL

It's not right, that was my point. Mustang dynos have put it at mid 200hp which is complete B.S. Get a set of 300/200s and you'll make close/ if not over 600HP depending on your set up.

Well.... it can't be wrong.... it measures acceleration of a drum of known weight.

So if you think the engine doesn't make the power, and you were on a DJ 248c then you must have shocked it with a shift spike...

Which doesn't actually make the machine wrong, as for that instant, you DID make that power. You converted stored momentum in the weight of the rotating mass of the engine into power for a brief burst on a shift.

Post the sheet and I'm sure you will see the spike. Or maybe you already knew that and just wanted to throw it out there to be purposefully confusing.

5 speed 4th gear 1:1, no shift spike. Jonathan's Dyno is where it made 441 on 22.5 semi tires 255-75-22.5 4.10 rear gear. D66 FF 160/100, Stealth HPOP, Mech fuel and no cooler

Sounds like a bad dyno setting or glitch, i made 20 or so pulls on the DJ, one made over 900.... Glitch of some kind.... Another truck did the same thing. Im talking stock injected trucks.....
DJ claimed operator error, damn things still jacked up, new software, new laptop etc.
Now just sitting in the parking lot....what a waste

The whole point is there are no settings, unless it's a load cell.

And if you're crazy enough to run corrected, then nothing can help you anyway. But an uncorrected 248 pull is what it is.

If you made a single gear pull on a 248c then the only way to get a bs high number is by using a correction factor. Which by definition is wrong...

A bs low number can be had easily in 4th gear if you don't get it lit. But not a bs high number.

It's like suggesting that a plate of steel lied to you... It's not in the cards. A 248c is a freakin hunk of steel that you spin.

Didn't mean to derail...Well to the OP, get a set of 300/200s or 350/200s we can get a set coming to you if you like. Have them in a few trucks making decent numbers:D PM if interested

do fords have the same problem with injection overlap as other trucks.
for example at 3300 pw and 3800 rpm now 2 injectors are open at once and the injection pressure just drops like a rock.
Just wondering

What settings are you referring, there was a few settings the operator was playing with, what spped to srart the run was one of them. As well as a couple others im not sure, i do know it was a dyno jet with no load accessories, . Just a 3 ft drum.
Also had to take an rpm sample to dial the dyno configuration ?

I pulled any where from 100 to 900 hp. Bad dyno day.

I am guessing you mean 3.3ms/pw at 3800rpm??

If so you dont have to worry about that, it wont happen.

I can tell you when I launch the sled truck at 4400 ICP never droped below 2970psi and fuel pressure did a 1psi temp drop then back to 70. if that helps your question lol
