Nice numbers. Is shift on the fly still up in the air and do you think it will be tough to do tunes for dual pumps, turbos, trans, etc or do yall have pretty good baselines to start with?
I'll go ahead and address shift on the fly, since it has been mentioned so much.
It is off of our drawing board, and in the first stages of testing for all model year 6.7 applications.
I don't want to make an official comment on whether or not the first shipments of 2013-2016 tuning devices will be equipped with it or not, because I'm simply unsure at this point.
Our implementation of shift-on-the-fly differs a good deal from what was previously available on the market. Previous methods were, IMO, a compromise of ECU functionality, and as such had some deficiencies- such as not being able to accept custom tunes. With Spartan slated to offer custom tunes again after release, I didn't feel this was a viable option worth pursuing, so we went a different direction with it.
This S-O-F-T, when it's ready, will allow between 3 and 5 power settings, and yes, we will be able to make custom tunes to work with it. And yes, it will be compatible with already existing 2011 and 2012 products.
However, due to the way it works, it is a much more difficult and time-consuming program implementation, so don't expect it tomorrow with yesterday express shipping. If availability falls after our initial product release, (which is honestly more likely than not), it will be available as an update after the fact.
But your voices have been heard.
