incredibly strong. i think they are safe to over 700 , they are a true 4 bolt per cylinder, no guarantees, but so far much safer than a 6.4, and WAY safer than a 6.0 or 7.3 .

Are you running stock head bolts until a gasket blows, or did you already stud your heads? I'd love to know who's got the most power on 6.7 stock head bolts. It's hard to figure out when certain parts are justified when every big built truck just has a ton of parts thrown on it for preventative purposes without quantifying the maximum safe level of each stock component.

I know it sounds dumb. But fwiw, justin holder, from the shop who's name we do not speak. Sprayed a little over 1000 with a billet rod motor on stock head bolts.

I mean hell if mine has held up so far it can't be too bad... I made it a week with a 6.4..... Knock on wood it's been over a year of abuse and mine is still holding strong!!

I've been running the performance tune. Seems if you jump on it in first it doesn't seem to be putting the power to the ground 1-2 flare shift. Hard up shifts and down shifts. Maybe i was expecting more seat of the pants and a little more power.

Well you definitely need to give the Trans some learn time. Quite possibly the low boost fuel can need adjusting. Any major changes in the tuning that happen , or anything we can change to make it drive better , we will update your tunes .

Let the tranny learn. If you don't then you're probably blowing through the converter also.

Do you just do some normal driving for a few days for the trans to relearn or do you have to drive a certain way?It seems like it should be a noticeable difference on the highest tune.I mainly just want it for the deletes,Any extra power would just be a bonus!

I simply drive my trucks normally over a few days after tuning or changing tunes.

The suggested method for a quick re-learn is something like:

Accelerate from a stop @ 1/4 throttle up to 80 MPH. Repeat 3 times

Accelerate from a stop @ 1/2 throttle up to 80 MPH. Repeat 3 times

Accelerate from a stop @ FULL throttle up to 80 MPH. Repeat 3 times

I don't race or abuse my truck. I'm mainly into deleting to stop wasting fuel during regenerations & prolong the life of my engine, so I don't use the quick re-learn procedure. I tried it once and thought the FULL throttle runs were hard on the drive train.

You're not going to get everything in lower Rpms, or even lower gears. the tuning is designed that way to keep your rods in the block. Mid-high rpm is where it should come alive. As far as the shift flare, like these guys said let the trans relearn and they should smooth out

They seem to be creeping up on 6.4 territory pretty quickly though.
