Out of curiosity, what are you going to do to the motor that the speed density setup wont handle? Ive got an 89 1/2 ton that im going to turbo and try to keep SD setup. Ive read so many mixed experiences that I finally said **** it, ill just try it out for my self.

The speed density setup really limits your choices for aftermarket camshafts. If you go with too much cam, it will surge at idle.

Yes the gen 1 lightnings had same short block. Differences were cam, heads intake, and headers and ecm on the engine.
I have all but the cam However I going roller cam
The cab I have is a factory lightning cab and i just got back the original seats
I even have the factory tube bumper, but I ran across the Tommy lift and it works so much better fro my uses as i am always lifting transmission and other truck parts
I have a Dana 60 kingpin and factory f350 springs bought. I am getting it at TS Outlaw.
After talking with a local speed shop about converting it over to mass air and different ecm. They told me i would be money ahead if I invest in to the mega-squirt ECM. Since it doesn't use a mass air meter.
