Ya it is surprising how big of a difference the heat can make.

Here in Az temps quickly hit 100 - 110 degrees even in May. Also the elevation change is huge. You can go from 1000 feet to about 8000 feet in about 1-2hrs... that makes it tough to tow with a bigger turbo and injectors.

I have lots of guys that tow with stage 3 turbos... the ones with smaller nozzle injectors have much better luck... BUT... we never recommend towing with that big of turbo. You really have to keep your rpms up to keep your egts down.

Eric I'm glad you are loving your new setup. I am learning more and more that most guys just want a good solid 550hp setup that can tow with ease... rather than a 600hp+ setup that struggles to tow heavy in altitude. The stage 2 turbos just spool so fast. That thing was running SUPER clean at the track. The video you sent me you could not even see any smoke. Sounds like it is getting plenty of air.
I can't believe it. I was completely sold on a 472 now I'm thinking of doing a 467.

Charlie is completely right in az with the heat and mountains and lifted on stock gearing it was not the right combo.

Charlie I thank you again for all your help you went above and beyond helping and walking me through everything in the past year.. Hopefully when you make it over here or I make it back to az we can meet up again.
at the track it would barely smoke at the 60' and go clean the rest of the way down the track with the factory map sensor maxed out. Also I enjoy the 500 range better it's a usable power band for my truck and feels faster off the bottom just a little less on the top. I ran .1 slower then the 68 and 75% nozzles but again I wasn't running a full fuel tune either then due to high egts and smoke

I know an old tread but how did your fuel pressure hold with mod you did? Im looking at doing your second setup, stage two with 195/30's or 175/30's but am trying to figure out fuel before. I also have 35"s so very similar trucks. Have you been happy since going to stage two and 30% nozzles? I have kicked around stage 3 and 75% but think I would do better with smaller set up

Charlie's stage 2 and the 30% nozzles where great with TSD tunes it ran very clean and temps where fine made great power. My truck weighs 8k and it ran 13.4 and put down 510/980 on my heavy 35's in 100* heat. With the stage 2 and the 30% it was asking for more fuel with the tune I was running didn't have crazy long pulse width so ran very clean. With the 30% I held over 50 psi but I have a funky fuel set up I'm running larger pickup tube and stock pickup as the return line with a 6.4 lift pump in front of my stock 6.0 pump and a regulated return.

Give Charlie a call you won't be disappointed!!!! Great guy to work with!

I'm going to go with kc stage 2 and 195/30's. I'll have to wait a few months. My 12 just went to Midwest for 65.5 turbo swap and 15 inj pump. I'll have to do the 6.0 to make me want to drive it lol
